Air Force Energy Initiatives
Welcome to the 21 Space Wing energy webpage. The 21st Civil Engineer Squadron is fully engaged in its efforts to reduce overall energy consumption on base, as directed by federal mandates, the Department of Defense and Air Force goals. It should not be a surprise to hear that the Department of Defense is the largest energy consumer in the federal government and the Air Force uses more energy than any of the other DoD services. The facilities across the Air Force consume $1.06 billion per year in energy. Just saving 10 percent of that would provide $100 million dollars that can be used for other programs. As for the 21 Space Wing, it spends more than $40 million per year on energy. That's why the 21st CES is so focused on finding ways to save energy. As a result, we are kicking off the "I Am Air Force Energy" campaign to help educate personnel on the technologies and program that can help the Wing save money.

Please join our "green" team to help save some green. To learn how you can identify ways to save energy the Air Force has developed computer based training on the ADLS. Click here to learn what you can do.
