RP Lee Youth Center
Teens from the Keystone Club at the R.P. Lee Youth Center package hygiene products to pass out during the Holidays for the Homeless dinner Dec. 22. The teens served 250 meals to the homeless downtown and passed out 213 hygiene packets, as well as coats, scarves, gloves, hats, shoes and toys. Chili cookoff CFC
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Airman 1st Class Andrew Revier (left), 21st Mission Support Group, serves chili to Tim Omdal (right), 21st Security Forces Squadron provost marshal, Nov. 28 at the base chapel. Participants sampled and voted for their favorite chili dish and made donations as part of a Combined Federal Campaign fundraiser. Tech. Sgt. Chris Whitfill, 21st Civil Engineer Squadron, took home trophies for best and hottest chili, as the contest raised $315 for the CFC. Native American Heritage Month
There is a Native American Heritage Month program from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Building 350 atrium. The event includes a display of Native American resources and artifacts, along with a Cherokee dance exhibition by Senior Airman Kevin Cheek, Air Force Office of Special Investigations. MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. -- Ghoulish Airmen from the Vosler NCO Academy push their entry in the Emma Crawford coffin race Oct. 27, 2012, in Manitou Springs, Colo. Pushing the coffin were (left to right) Master Sgt. John Hahm, Master Sgt. Todd Badger and Tech. Sgt. Craig Hatcher, and riding in the coffin was Master Sgt. Sharon Lawson. Their entry was inspired by the B-17 that Tech. Sgt. Forrest Vosler, the NCO Academy’s namesake, flew on. Vosler was the second enlisted Airman to ever receive a Medal of Honor.
