Thomas Meccia, commander, 53rd Signal Battalion, 1st Space Brigade, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command, passes the U.S. Army noncommissioned officer sword to Command Sgt. Maj. Mary Carr signifying her new responsibilities as the incoming command sergeant major for the battalion. The Change of Responsibility from outgoing Command Sgt. Maj. Russell De Leon to Carr took place Dec. 21, 2015 at the command's Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, headquarters.
