  • Need Sleep

    Daylight Savings time occurs in the month of March. We shift our clocks forward and lose an hour of sleep. Moving clocks forward for Daylight Savings occurred March 11, 2018 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. According to National Transportation Safety Board, “Traffic accidents increase during this time.” When we lose an hour of sleep, we lose mental restoration, also known as Rapid Eye Movement sleep. This loss causes us to be prone to behavioral changes, such as, slower reaction times, irritability, memory loss, fatigue, and more.
  • The JA can handle the truth

    Airmen at the 21st Space Wing Judge Advocate office, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., served 3,200 clients and produced 5,600 legal documents last year. With the 21st SW being the most geographically distributed wing in the Air Force, and Peterson AFB being the home of NORAD, the legal office here supports more than just the Airmen on this base.
  • For the love of planes

    Her love for aircraft started at a young age, beginning with the love her father felt, and shared, toward the planes he saw in the military. From there her infatuation bloomed as she attended air shows she saw with her father, her then husband, and now with her children. When she retired two years ago from interior decorating, she had no idea what she wanted to do with her time. By chance, one newspaper brought her to a new stage in her life.
