  • Space Delta 2 holds post-activation ceremony

  • US Space Force establishes new garrisons

    PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – The U.S. Space Force activated two garrisons during a pre-recorded virtual ceremony today. During the ceremony, the Peterson-Schriever Garrison and Buckley Garrison installation support commands stood-up as the 21st, 50th, and 460th Space Wings were deactivated.
  • Space Force begins transition into field organizational structure

    During a virtual pre-recorded ceremony today, the U.S. Space Force executed numerous organization changes in its first realignment actions to transition from the previous Air Force major command structure into the new service’s flatter field organization structure announced June 30.
  • USSF graduates first candidates of Space Intelligence Intern Program

    The new U.S. Space Force Intelligence Intern Program graduated its first cohort on June 23, 2020, preparing them to succeed in future space intelligence leadership roles. The two graduating interns had an opportunity to out-brief the Chief of Space Operations, General John “Jay” Raymond, his senior leadership, and the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, headquarters U.S. Air Force.

    The 21st Space Wing issued guidance in April 2020 mandating the wear of face coverings or masks for all individuals on Peterson Air Force Base and Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station when unable to maintain six feet of physical distance in public areas and work centers. On July 16th, the state of Colorado issued a statewide mask mandate.
  • AAFES reinvests dividends into Airmen morale

    Shoppers on Peterson Air Force Base generated over $478 thousand in financial support for military quality of life programs through purchases at the Army and Air Force Exchange Service base exchange between February 2019 and February 2020. Some of those funds will go to quality of life programs administered by the 21st Force Support Squadron.
