National Nurses Week
National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale. Nightingale laid the foundation of professional nursing with the establishment of her nursing school at St. Thomas' Hospital in London, England. At the time it was the first nursing school in the world. (U.S. Air Force photo by Robb Lingley)
